“Successful milestone at Orchid Hospital, Jalgaon: First-ever use of advanced orbital atherectomy technique in Khandesh region. A 61-year-old diabetic, post-CABG, with complete heart block underwent a unique procedure. Angiography revealed patent grafts to LAD and OM, but PDA graft occluded with heavily calcified RCA. The patient received groundbreaking calcium debulking using orbital atherectomy, followed by deployment of 3 stents. This technique, surpassing rotational atherectomy, reduces restenosis rates. Managing heavily calcified lesions is crucial, and this case shows potential avoidance of pacemaker implantation in complete heart blocks through angioplasty.”
